Up PF Setting Form NC Mill Control G code/M code Definition

This function produces the following kinds of output;

PF Setting information in output excel file and display it on the screen.
(1) for planing  multi pieces rod
(2) for planing  one piece rod which is longer than Planing Form length.
NC Mill (Beveller) control file as tap files
(1) for planing strips for multi pieces rod
(2) for planing a strip of one piece rod which is longer than NC Mill base.
(3) for cutting Hollow options as specified via Hybrid Section Specification,
including both of (1)(2) cases above.

Default

The most of input pull down remains unchanged while user does not change.
Output Option pull down will lead you either of two functions below;

PF Setting Information output

To acquire the hard copy print, user can use the print function of Excel itself.

Function Buttons

Name Function
Excel/Zoom shows a separate Excel window with larger resolution.  pop ups when PF Setting is created.
Generate produces PF Setting form output and switches the screen to Excel to show the output.
When Excel is closed, screen returns to this panel.
Output excel file name is RodID+".xls", same to rod file.
Return to Archive returns to Archive screen
Section Specification When the selected rod is specified as "Hollow", this button becomes visible.  But for PF output, Hollow spec. doesn't matter.
By pressing this button, Hollow Cutting Plan can be seen.
Hollow options can be changed at this point of time, but it may result in a different rod from the performed calculations until then.

Data on the screen

Item Meaning
PF Station Interval specifies the length of PF Station Interval.  Default is what is entered last time.
Source Data select from the pull down.  In pull down, the available excel files are listed automatically.
Length of PF  specifies the effective interval length from the 1st push/pull screw to the last push pull screw.
e.g.  11 interval x 5" = 55 "
Unit specifies the unit to be used on the output, inch or mm
Final Planing
+,-thick ness
specifies the thickness to be added (+) or to be subtract(-) to/from the final planing setting.
Rough Planing
adjustment
specifies the way to offset rough planing setting to final planing setting.
by addition:  add a fixed thickness to final PF setting
by %increase:  increase by % to final PF setting
Adding number specifies the thickness to add
%increase specifies % number to increase

NC Mill (Beveller) control output

The created tap files are stored in "\tap" folder under the DynaRod home directory.  Tap file is created for each section of a rod, it means that two pieces rod will create two files.

To bevel Hollow, another Tap Header file, which includes "=Hollow" parameter, is needed in addition to the ordinal Tap Header file for "=Taper" strip planing.

For a hollow rod, the following two beveling operation is needed continuously without moving the strip from the NC mill base in order to fix the X position.

1. bevel a tapered strip by the taper Tap file.
2. bevel hollow cutting plan by the hollow Tap file.

Function Buttons

Name Function
Generate produces NC Mill Control output.
Output tap file names are RodID+Sn+".tap".
Sn is for section number.
Return to Archive returns to Archive screen
Section Specification When the selected rod is specified as "Hollow", this button becomes visible.
By pressing this button, Hollow Cutting Plan can be seen.
Hollow options can be changed at this point of time, but it may result in a different rod from the performed calculations until then.

Source Data select from the pull down.  In pull down, the available excel files are listed.
Tap file ID select the tap file ID from pull down to which the generation is made
PF Station Interval specifies the length of NC Station Interval.  Default is what is entered last time.
Unit specifies the unit to be used on the output, inch or mm
Final Planing
+,-thick ness
specifies the thickness to be added (+) or to be subtract(-) to/from the final planing setting.

One piece rod which is longer than Planing Form or NC Mill base

When the specified rod is one piece and it is longer than Planing Form or NC Mill's cutting base, DynaRod prompts and requests to make a choice between;

to use a longer Planing Form, or NC Mill base,
In this case, the Planing Form length is automatically incremented by PF station interval length until it becomes enough length to plane.
to choice an overlapping planing

In a case of Overlapping planing, the following input fields get visible with default values.

Item Meaning
Length of overlap specify the length of overlap.  For the initial planing of the overlapped length, additional dimension is added at the end of the overlap.  So the additional dimensions become slope.
Addition to 1/2 dimension specify the number of additional half dimension to the final planing size for overlapped area.
For Penta cross section, 1/2 dimension does not necessarily mean really 1/2 of dimension, but it means the dimension of a strip instead of a glued blank.
