My Default page enables you to default the following fields;   these defaults can also be changed at any time through this panel.   Right after the change, the change becomes effective.

My Default page is tab controlled for the two pages below;

Defaults when generating Hollow specification

It is recommended to press [Verify] button to assure the default values and for cross auditing.

Inner Taper Option

This field can default the inner taper option of Hybrid Section Specification is automatically generated.

Each value means;

"constant"     wall thickness is to be constant

"straight"

wall thickness is to be tapered straight internally
To make this sure, the inner taper slope is defined by the line which is calculated as follows;
  from -start section's dimension (left side) x start section hollow ratio
  to-end section's dimension (right side) x end section hollow ratio

"%dimension"

wall thickness is to be tapered in proportion of outer dimensions
For this,  the inner hollow ratio is defined by the calculation below;
from - start section hollow ratio
to-end section hollow ratio
At each rod point between start section and end section, hollow ratio is taken
from the hollow ratio slope.     In a case of start section hollow ratio = end section hollow ratio, the resulted inner taper becomes the same % to the outer dimensions at every rod point  between the start and the end section.

Wall Thickness (inch)

specifies the constant wall thickness value when "constant" is selected for Inner Taper Option.

Hollow Start: inches from Tip Top

specifies the start 1 inch section# on a rod section from which the hollow cutting is to be started.
The 1 inch section# means that #1 section is the section on the rod from point 0 to point 1.

Hollow around Ferrule: inches before/after a Ferrule

specifies the margin which is to be apart from the edge of the ferrule.

Hollow End: inches from Butt End

specifies the last 1 inch section# on a rod section to which the hollow cutting is to be continued.  The 1 inch section# 50 means the section on the rod from point 49 to 50.

Hollow Start Ratio

specifies the % value which is to be applied at the Hollow Start position.

Hollow End Ratio

specifies the % value which is to be applied at the Hollow End position.

Hollow Shape

specifies Flute or Flat.
Flute means the cutting surface shape is round.  The entire hollow shape is round.
Flat means the cutting surface shape is flat.  The entire hollow shape is same to the blank section.

Hollow Cutting Manner

specifies straight or scallop.
Straight means that the cutting edge moves straight along with X axis.
Scallop means that the cutting tool moves up and down with interval.  This is also called as dammed or arched.

Offset

specifies the offset length from the Hollow Start position, or to the next Hollow start position.

Length of Arch

specifies the length of the arch.  If not Arch Length Increment is specified, all the arches become same length.

Arch length increment

specifies the increased % of the arch length.  1.1 means 110% against to the previous arch length.

Cutting Tool Diameter

specifies the diameter (not half) of the cutting tool.  This diameter is used to adjust the location where the cutting tool should be actually moved down or moved up to remain necessary offset length beside an arch length.

Bypass Tool Height

specifies the height number to that the cutting tool edge is to be moved up in order to bypass the non-cutting area.
