Stress Curve

DynaRod User's Guide Preface How to use DynaRod Trouble Shooting Table of Contents

This graph shows stress distribution over the entire action length of the rod.

All the Stress curves in DynaRod are calculated in dynamic mode, not static, then the graph shows more practical shape which is near to the actual distribution of stresses.

This graph is completely different from the stress curve calculated by Garrison's math.  Please do not confuse when you refer to or compare to the graphs which are based on the Garrison style calculation.

In dynamic stress graph, the more loaded, the less stressed on the tip front since when the rod deflects, it passes the stress toward thicker side, as a result tip front stress is getting released.  This is exactly same to how a rod behaves actually.
